I'm blaming my daughter for this. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. She's the one who decided to take the National Novel Writing Month Challenge (otherwise known as NaNoWriMo.) These daring souls attempt to produce a 50,000 word novel in 30 days. She's quite capable of doing so, having written fan fiction of similar length.
But where does that leave her mother? I feel that to be supportive I should also undertake a writing challenge this month, however I am not strong at either fiction or sustained long form storytelling.
I found a solution how ever, in the November blog posting challenge NaBloPoMo at Blog Her. The goal is to blog daily for a month, and this is a real challenge for me, as I tend to start these things but never quite finish. Maybe not as much as writing a 50,000 word novel, but we need tackle realistic goals when possible.
I'm a born procrastinator, and have the unfinished project to prove it. But I'm hoping this will be a nudge in the right direction, however I am finishing today's post with only an hour or two to spare.
See you tomorrow.
Good luck! You can do it!
